David has over 38 years experience in commercial real estate, specializing in representation of tenants in retail site selection, and acquisition / disposition of corporate retail properties. He brings a long history of Tenant Representation to the retailer, providing a shortened store-opening schedule.

By applying his deep knowledge of markets in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and Kentucky, David can provide expertise in assisting tenants in expansion or disposition in these markets. He is a co-founder of the X-TEAM, a national team of tenant representation experts in 31 cities across the US.

Carl Storey

Principal | Broker | CPM, CSM

Carl is a Principal and Co-Founder of Baker Storey McDonald Properties, bringing more than 40 years of experience in shopping center development, leasing, and redevelopment across the central South. He has played a key role in the ground-up development and renovation of over 2 million square feet of retail space, with tenant experience spanning Publix, TJ Maxx, Ross, Panera Bread, Nordstrom Rack, Total Wine, and Hobby Lobby.

Carl has served as a strategic retail advisor throughout his career, including roles as a Bankruptcy Court Appointed Receiver and manager of REO properties on behalf of the FDIC, banks, special servicers, and institutional and private owners. He has led numerous transformative projects—from mall-to-open-air conversions to large-scale, phased redevelopments that required intricate coordination around operating tenants.

Carl is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with his grandkids.

Allen McDonald

Principal | Broker | CCIM

Allen brings over 35 years of experience in the shopping center industry, with a career that has spanned landlord and tenant representation, investment sales, and center redevelopment that maximizes customer visits, growth in tenant sales and ultimate overall value. He currently focuses on enhancing the operational side of BSM’s management and brokerage platforms—aiming to drive value for clients through improved efficiency and smart use of technology.  Allen enjoys playing the role of player coach for the younger team members at Baker Storey McDonald.

From 1986 to 1995, Allen concentrated on landlord and tenant representation across a three-state region. In 1995, he joined Trammell Crow Company, shifting his focus to shopping center investment sales for both private and institutional clients. When Baker Storey McDonald was formed in 2001, Allen helped lead the firm’s efforts in acquiring and repositioning value-add retail properties for the companies own account. He has played a key role in the development and acquisition of over $150 million in retail projects, many of which required significant redevelopment and reimagining to unlock long-term value.

Outside of work, Allen enjoys traveling with his wife, Lynn, and spending time with their granddaughter, Eloise. He stays active playing pickleball and tennis, whitewater kayaking, backpacking and hiking in Colorado, and skiing when the snow starts to fall.

Felissa Daugherty

Senior Property Manager, CPM

Felissa brings nearly 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, with a focus on retail property management. She has managed a wide range of asset types—including retail, office, and industrial—for institutional owners, private investors, and properties under receivership. Her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to deliver on everything from tenant relations and lease administration to budgeting and capital oversight make her a steady and trusted presence in the field.

Currently, Felissa manages a portfolio of retail and mixed-use properties spanning Middle Tennessee—including Nashville, Nolensville, Murfreesboro, Columbia—and as far south as Montgomery, AL, and Pace, FL. She also holds her Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation through IREM, further underscoring her commitment to excellence and professionalism.

Outside of work, Felissa enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking, fishing, and biking, but her favorite moments are spent with friends, family, and her five grandchildren—who keep her on her toes and smiling.

Michael Galpin

Over 26 years of experience in Real Estate and Property Development. Sheldon Griffin has 20 years experience in the retail real estate sector. For the past 16 years, Sheldon has focused on tenant representation. He has represented tenants in a wide variety of transactions varying from land acquisition to leasing existing buildings. During this time he has developed substantial expertise with financial institutions and petroleum retailers. Prior to focusing on tenant representation, Mr. Griffin represented more than 1.5 million square feet of retail space on behalf of more than half a dozen landlords.

Prior to joining BSM Properties, Brad worked for a national retail developer focusing on site selection for triple net build-to-suit developments. Brad is originally from Carmel, Indiana and graduated from Indiana University.

Kevin Trujillo

Broker

Kevin specializes in retail real estate, representing both landlords and tenants across Tennessee. His focus is on helping clients—especially new-to-market restaurants and retailers—navigate site selection and expansion with a strategic, tailored approach.

Before relocating to Nashville, Kevin was part of a high-performing team in Phoenix that leased over five million square feet of retail space and closed more than 60 deals annually. His experience spans leasing, market analysis, and client representation, making him a valuable resource for clients looking to grow their footprint in the Southeast.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, staying active, and continuing to explore all things F&B. Kevin is also a graduate of Oral Roberts University.

Jenny Buskirk

As our Controller, Jenny brings over a decade of experience in financial management and accounting. She oversees the company’s financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning efforts—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with the firm’s long-term goals.

Jenny’s background includes roles at companies like KPMG Peat Marwick, Coca-Cola, and Medtronic, where she developed deep expertise in forecasting, cost accounting, and financial analysis. Her attention to detail, commitment to transparency, and focus on operational efficiency make her a trusted leader behind the scenes.

Outside of work, Jenny is passionate gardening, hiking and community service. She enjoys staying involved in causes she cares about and brings the same level of dedication to her community as she does to her work.

Alison Fahey

Property Accountant

Alison Fahey is a dedicated property accountant at Baker Storey McDonald Properties. Since joining the company in July of 2024, she has had an immediate, positive impact on the company’s financial reporting and workflow processes. Alison brings an 11 year background in accounting and property management to her role, ensuring the smooth financial operations of the properties Baker Storey manages.

Alison graduated from California State University, Fullerton. During her time at university, she was involved in numerous clubs and intramural sports after playing softball for 15 years. Her experience as a student-athlete and involved club member has instilled in her a strong work ethic, teamwork skills, and the ability to perform under pressure-qualities that she now applies to her professional career.

Alison’s combination of academic knowledge and athletic discipline makes her a valuable asset to the Baker Storey McDonald Properties team. She is committed to maintaining the financial health of all company managed properties and contributing to the overall success of the company.

Jordan Guest

Asset & Property Solutions Manager

As Asset & Portfolio Solutions Manager at BSM Properties, Jordan oversees the operational performance, financial health, and long-term strategy of a diverse multi-state real estate portfolio. He combines hands-on property management expertise with asset-level analysis to maximize value, strengthen co-tenancy, and enhance visitation across shopping centers and mixed-use assets. In addition to supporting BSM’s owned assets, he is directly involved in third-party client services, contributing to redevelopment strategies, refining co-tenancy mixes, and developing financial models that improve positioning and long-term value.

Jordan began his career managing retail and office properties, later serving as Leasing and Marketing Manager at Kenect Nashville before joining BSM Properties. Originally from Southern California and a former collegiate basketball player, he brings leadership and energy to his work and enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active, and taking his miniature golden doodle, Maisie, to the park.

Katherine Harris

Director of Operations

As Director of Operations, Katherine plays a key role in keeping the business running smoothly. She oversees daily operations, refines internal processes, and helps align teams in support of the company’s broader strategic goals. With a focus on clarity, efficiency, and continuous improvement, she creates structure behind the scenes so the team can focus on what they do best.

Originally from Memphis, TN, Katherine graduated magna cum laude from the University of Memphis and soon began her career in the commercial real estate world. After three years as Director of Operations at another firm, she made the move to Nashville for a new chapter and fresh perspective.

Outside the office, you’ll usually find her exploring new spots around the city, getting in a good workout, or experimenting in the kitchen (some attempts more successful than others). At her core, Katherine is curious, driven, and always up for figuring things out as she goes—both in work and in life.
